I currently hold a position as an Associate Professor at NovaSBE and am currently teaching Macroeconomics in the BSc’s in Economics and Business Administration. I co-organize the monthly Lisbon Macro Workshop, joint with Luis Costa (ISEG) and Catarina Reis (UC Lisbon) and am associate editor of the Portuguese Economic Journal and Notas Económicas“, the peer-reviewed economics journal from my alma mater, U Coimbra. I also created and maintain, together with João B. Duarte, the MacroNova group.
I am currently also the Academic Director of the Master in Economics, Coordinator of the Area of Expertise in Sports Management of the Master in Management, Director of Sports and member of the executive education academic council. I am also part of the consulting councils of IGCP EPE, the Associação Portuguesa de Distribuição and of the Iniciativa Liberal political party (as independent); and am on the editorial board of the Revista Confidencial Imobiliário.
I am also regularly solicited to comment on themes related to economic dynamics for Portugal and the World on different media outlets, either in television, radio or printed/online press. I am a columnist for Jornal de Negócios, and Record, a major sports periodical. I am currently also resident analyst for the public broadcasting tv channel RTP and participate in the weekly show Choque de Ideias.
